When Beth Urech returned to Chicago after decades in Switzerland, she was frustrated by the lack of juicy acting roles for women her age. She started writing for herself. The result is her solo show ActYourAge! which premiered in 2013 in Chicago. Since then Beth's performed ActYourAge! more than 30 times: off-Broadway, on an island off the coast of Ireland, in Switzerland. Also in Aspen, Tucson, Florida, Michigan, Philly, DC and Las Vegas NM. Her 10-minute play "Valentine for Velma" was performed at Nat Gold Box Seats and the New Mexico Theatre Conference where her monologue "Tillie Tells All" won first place.
